The Workshop That Changed Everything: How BuildGreenfield Was Born
The Workshop That Changed Everything: How BuildGreenfield Was Born
How a 3.5-hour AI Budapest workshop led to the creation of BuildGreenfield, from idea to domain purchase to first presentation.
The Problem I Brought to the Workshop
For years, I’ve been successfully developing multiple products with AI agents, applying learnings and best practices. After a few really impressive practical results - MVPs in days - it came to my mind to automate it even more so I don’t need to do the repetitive preparation part and watch the code all the time, type the instructions one by one.
That’s what I brought as a task to the AI Budapest’s High Agency workshop (October 22, 2025): to create the basic concepts and define the goals, learn more about what others want to build with no-code tools, what are user needs.
The Breakthrough Moment
After talking for about an hour and taking notes about how others use no-code tools and what do they want to build, in the rest two and half hours the POC, the first website, and investor deck came to life.
My perspective was simple: how do real software development teams actually work? We don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Instead of treating AI as a black box, I realized that showing agent tasks as cards moving across BACKLOG → TODO → IN PROGRESS → DONE would provide the transparency and control that enterprise teams demand.
That’s why we have kanban views to track progress, agent activity views to see who’s working on what, project views with burndown charts, and all the familiar tools that development teams already know and trust.
The Name and Domain
During the workshop, I figured out the name BuildGreenfield - representing the idea of building from scratch, from a green field, with AI agents handling the heavy lifting. The name perfectly captured the vision of creating new applications without the constraints of legacy systems.
I immediately bought the domain buildgreenfield.com right there during the workshop. There was something about the energy and momentum of the event that made it feel like the right moment to commit to this idea.
The Presentation That Changed Everything
At the end of the event, I presented the results to the workshop participants. The response was incredible - people loved it. The combination of:
- The visual kanban workflow
- The transparency of AI agent work
- The familiar development tools
- The speed of MVP creation
…resonated strongly with everyone in the room. It wasn’t just another AI tool - it was AI that worked the way human teams do.
The Inspiration to Continue
That positive reception at the workshop was the catalyst that inspired me to continue the journey. Seeing how people reacted to the concept validated that this wasn’t just a personal need - it was a real problem that many teams faced.
The workshop proved that there was genuine excitement around the idea of:
- Transparent AI development - seeing exactly what agents are doing
- Familiar workflows - using tools teams already know
- Rapid prototyping - building MVPs in days, not months
- Multi-agent collaboration - specialized AI agents working together
What Happened Next
Since that workshop, BuildGreenfield has evolved rapidly. The platform itself has become a proof of its own concept - as you can see how fast this platform evolves, that’s the know-how I built into the platform itself - it’s a proof of itself.
The workshop insight became the foundation of BuildGreenfield’s unique approach: AI that works the way human teams do.
The Meta-Story
What’s fascinating about this origin story is that it demonstrates the very principles that BuildGreenfield embodies:
- Rapid iteration - from idea to working POC in hours
- Transparent process - everyone could see the development happening
- Familiar tools - using standard development workflows
- Multi-agent collaboration - different perspectives coming together
- Proof of concept - the platform’s evolution validates its own effectiveness
Looking Forward
That workshop in October 2025 was just the beginning. The positive reception and the rapid development cycle we demonstrated that day became the blueprint for how BuildGreenfield would operate going forward.
Every feature we build, every improvement we make, every new capability we add - it all traces back to that moment when a room full of AI enthusiasts saw something they’d never seen before: AI development that made sense.
This is the story of how BuildGreenfield was born. But it’s also the story of how the platform continues to evolve - rapidly, transparently, and with the same energy that filled that workshop room in Budapest.
